The
0bjectives of the World Disarmament Campaign are "to promote
worldwide disarmament, both nuclear and non-nuclear; to divert military
expenditure to sustainable development, the eradication of poverty and
the protection of the environment; and, in pursuit of these objectives,
to strengthen and increase the effectiveness of the United Nations."
If we cannot create a new world order in which war is no longer conceivable as a way of settling differences between and within nations, then the human race is doomed. Our planet and our species will have a future only if ordinary people the world over say to their leaders: fulfil your promises; stop the arms trade and give us the peace you pay lip-service to. WDC campaigns for its objectives in many ways. But to make its work more effective it needs more resources. Please help to advance this vital work by joining WDC. Every subscription helps. Donations also help. Best of all, by actively spreading the message, by distributing our literature, and by supporting our campaigns and those of other peace organisations, we can all help to create the culture of peace that is so essential for the future of mankind.
